The San Antonio star small forward, Kawhi Leonard, is hoping to return to the court at some point in March. Leonard, who hasn’t played since the 13th of January due to a quad injury has returned to San Antonio since taking time to get a second opinion in New York.
While in New York, Leonard was accompanied by team medical staff and managed to complete some workouts on the court located in the NBPA's headquarters.

This latest updated from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN is different to the interview given by Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich last week, who said he wasn't expecting his star player to return at all this season, despite being medically cleared to do so.
After missing the first 27 games of the season, Leonard played in nine of the following 17 Spurs match-ups before sitting out again. He was posting averages of 16.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 23.3 minutes per game.
To add even more to this ever changing news story, it has been reported that tension has been building between Kawhi Leonard and the Spurs organisation due to the management of his injury. However, with only six weeks until the end of the regular season, and with the team in a playoff battle that is only getting tighter, the San Antonio Spurs will need their star man back, or they may risk losing him for good.
