Report: Phoenix Suns targeting David Fizdale

David Fizdale may not be a free agent for much longer.
According to Mitch Lawrence of Sporting News, the Phoenix Suns are strongly considering the former Memphis Grizzlies head coach as a replacement for their interim coach Jay Triano.
Troubles on the court, off the court and drama with Eric Bledsoe (who was later traded to the Milwaukee Bucks), all contributed to Watson being let go after only three games with Triano taking over as a temporary replacement.
This didn't bring a change in the Suns like many hoped it would. As of this article being written on my phone, the are 18-44 Phoenix Suns the worst record in the NBA.
While all of Phoenix was confused as to how their team could get worse, the Memphis Grizzlies made a big decision behind closed doors.
After giving Fizdale his first shot at being an NBA head coach, he managed to get his elderly grit n' grind Grizzlies to a 43-39 record and a playoff berth in his only full season with the organisation.

All seemed ok in Memphis before Fizdale was suddenly let go...
However, things changed at the start of this season, the Grizzlies went 7-12 and Fizdale had an ever deteriorating relationship with Marc Gasol, who very likely had a part to play in his departure.
Now a coach with a single season of experience may not seem like much, but David Fizdale is something else. He is generating interest from a number of teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, who may look for other options if they aren't pleased with Luke Walton and the progress he has made by the end of the season.
After being the fall guy in Memphis, Fizdale may find himself being the prime option for a number of teams, so watch this space.
