The Racing Point driver is the first of the drivers to test positive for Covid-19 since the season re-start.
Perez has gone into self-quarantine, as have all of the people in his 'bubble', as per F1's rules and regulations.
The FIA have stated that "procedures… have provided for swift containment" and the result of the test "will have no wider impact on this weekend's event".
Racing Point have said Perez was "physically well and in good spirits, but he will continue to self-isolate under the guidelines of the relevant public health authorities, with safety the ultimate priority for the team and the sport".
The British team still plan on entering two cars for the race and will reveal who will race alongside Lance Stroll.
Their options are the shared Mercedes reserve drivers Stoffel Vandoorne (who is unlikely to be available due to Formula E) and Esteban Gutierrez. A third option is to choose someone else though, so there may be a case for Nico Hulkenberg to line up on the grid this weekend.
